Employee Survey Telephone Data Collection

DataPoll (IVR):

Using DataPoll, the Gelfond Group's proprietary Touch-Tone telephone survey system, employees can complete the survey using any Touch-Tone telephone. With this method, employees receive a questionnaire with instructions to call a toll-free "800" number during the designated administration period. Upon calling, employees are greeted, and complete the pre-recorded survey by pressing the number on their Touch-Tone telephone that corresponds to their answer.


Some features of our DataPoll telephone survey system include:

  • Flexibility - Employees can complete the survey anytime 24 hours a day.
  • User Friendliness - Surveys can be recorded in any language and the system allows employees to change answers, skip questions, and to enter their responses as rapidly as desired, without having to listen to the entire question. As an example, a 50-item telephone survey requires less than 10 minutes to complete.
  • Branching - Similar to our internet survey system, DataPoll allows item branching.
  • Verbatim Capability - Surveys can include any number of open-ended comments.
  • Instant Access to Results - Because the results are collected electronically, updates on employee participation by business unit (and/or the results for any item in the survey) are available on a real-time basis through our website.
Our DataPoll system uses 7 computers, 5 T1 lines, and 120 concurrent lines. In the last 4 years, more than 2.5 million employees have participated in Gelfond Group DataPoll surveys in 20 languages.
